Casa de Moyo offers a unique, flexible residency program designed to support artists, writers, and creatives at all stages of their journey. Whether you’re preparing for an upcoming residency, returning from one and needing space to reflect, or seeking connection with local artists, Casa de Moyo adapts to meet your creative needs.
We’ve hosted a growing community of artists from around the world, each shaping their stay in a way that suits their vision.
Here’s how your residency can take form:
Option 1: Reflect & Reset
A space to breathe, refocus, and prepare for what’s next.
Whether you’re arriving after an intensive residency or exhibition, or preparing for one ahead, Casa de Moyo offers a peaceful home base for creative rest and quiet productivity.
What we offer:
A fully equipped kitchen and outdoor parrilla (BBQ) for slow, nourishing meals
Two comfortable bedrooms and a standing desk ideal for writing or digital work
Reliable internet, no television, and room to reconnect with your process
Outdoor areas for painting or hands-on making (indoor drawing and digital art welcome)
✦ One of our first residents chose this path, spending quiet days painting in the garden and ending his stay with a public presentation supported by the American Embassy.
Option 2: Create & Connect
Grow your practice through local collaboration and new materials.
Immerse yourself in Montevideo’s creative landscape. We’ll connect you with local artists and makers for shared learning and studio experiences.
What we facilitate:
Access to workshops and studio visits in painting, ceramics, printmaking, and glass fusion
Short, hands-on sessions with established artists across mediums
By request: connections to artists and micro-residencies in Buenos Aires, subject to availability

Option 3: Share & Inspire
Present your work and engage with a curious, international audience.
Use your time at Casa de Moyo to share your work, your journey, and your ideas. We help facilitate artist-led events that foster connection and exchange.
We can help organize:
Artist talks, open studios, or gallery-style exhibitions
Private or public gatherings with Montevideo’s creative community
Teaching opportunities at a local international school
